The Tennessee Small Business Coalition is a diverse, non-partisan coalition that was formed to give a voice to small business owners who are struggling to secure and keep affordable and quality health care coverage for themselves and their employees. Our growing network includes small business owners and self-employed people from across Tennessee.  Joining the Coalition is FREE. The Coalition creates opportunities for small business owners to speak for themselves and participate in advancing national health care reform.  Opportunities include:

• Meeting with and contacting policy makers
  
• Meeting with other small business owners
  
• Sharing stories with media, policy makers and other organizations
  
• Conducting research on the needs and public policy opinions of small business

Coalition partners share a common vision of practical health care reform that works for all small business owners.  

We're calling on policy makers to create a uniquely American health care solution that embraces and implements these 5 principles:

1. Guaranteed, Quality Coverage for All: No one should lose or be denied coverage due to accidents, sickness, age, changing jobs or starting a new business.
2. Affordable and Predictable: In order to plan and have security, businesses and individuals need a stable, reliable system with costs that are affordable and predictable.
3. Shared, Equitable Responsibility: All stakeholders – the health care industry, other businesses, individuals and government – must work together and share the responsibility of reforming our broken system. 
4. Real Choices: We expect choices of quality public and private plans that are available to everyone. 
5. Accountability: The health care system must be transparent and accountable to the public.              It should be designed to prioritize our health, not maximize industry profits.

The Coalition is a project of the Tennessee Health Care Campaign (THCC), a non-profit, non-partisan organization working for guaranteed affordable choices in health care.
